The last thing you remember is dying. Whether it's by murder or execution, that's was all it. But surprisingly enough, you wake up in the hotel room that you were assigned in, as if you had never died to begin with. However, once you walk right outside, you'll start noticing that while this is the Town A you remember, there are some slight differences that you notice.

The first thing is the fact that while you can see those who are still alive, they simply cannot see you. In fact, they pass through you, as if you were a ghost. And spoilers: you kind of are one, now. The second thing is that sometimes, if you look at a building for too long or too closely, you'll notice that it fizzles a bit, almost glitchy.

But that's completely fine, isn't it? There is, however, one more thing to keep in mind: there are voices of other people, mumuring. Of course, these other people, unlike you, don't have a complete shape; they're just a silhouette of themselves, looking like static.

However: it wouldn't be Town A without an announcement, would it? Of course not. Hence why upon rearriving, there will be a message, typed out:

Welcome to the afterlife, everyone. This is a greeting message to introduce you to how exactly this works. You have the ability to send one message to the living a week, so choose your words wisely. Of course, there are limitations to what you can say! You cannot reveal the mastermind's true identity, even if you know it. You cannot reveal a culprit or a victim, even if you know it.

Also, all messages will be sent to all players during the trials. If there is no trial, the message shall be sent on Saturday. You may investigate as you wish. If you have any questions to ask of me, please leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

A man... [That leaves only select people that it could've been.] I guess it doesn't help anything to try and figure out who it was now, though.

[Nanami smiles a little, though.] Not blaming anyone... I don't think a lot of people could do that, in your situation. [Although it doesn't even occur to Nanami that she feels the same about her own murder.] You have a good heart, Eliza-san.

[Nanami is quiet for a long moment. The horror of that hangs over her. Even if everyone works together and tries to find a way out...]

...What a terrible cycle.

If there's nothing else we can do, though... I guess that's the only option for now.

[Can she really accept that, though? Even with the heaviness that weighs her down at the thought?]

...So everyone will have to keep killing and killing. Will it ever stop, or will the killing just go on until no one is left?

[She means more that she doesn't blame people for getting it wrong, haha. If she ever learns who the actual killer is she will probably definitely blame them for hurting Recette emotionally.] I...I guess. I chose to go out on my own, after all, without my Pokemon. It...it was a pretty bad decision...I might have been able to stop him without getting myself killed if they'd been with me.

Day of the ball!

[Before the mastermind announcement, Eliza can be found in the dollhouse, searching for dolls with jackets and gloves and stealing them. After a few failed attempts to put on a jacket, she gives up on those and just starts collecting gloves, before dropping them all on a table and looking through them.

Later on, she'll be at the ball in magical girl form, carrying a pair of gloves with her and watching the scene.]

[Eliza grins a bit when she notices Recette trying to dance. She lifts one of the gloves and taps her on the shoulder, before bowing and extending the other one.]

Mind if I cut in?

[Eliza notices this and pauses. She'd try to throw something at Gible, but somehow she feels throwing a snack would be counterproductive in this case...so instead she'll grab something from one of the un-wrecked tables and start chasing after Zack and Gible while waving it.]

Hey! Hey, over here Gible! I bet this is tastier!

[Well, he'll definitely wait for her at the very least. He isn't too impatient. Okay, that's a lie, he's impatient. But he's nice enough to wait.]

Somewhat. My path might be more illuminated, at least. [She slips down to the floor, landing lightly.]

I do linger here. There's no way to access what will form as the barrier weakens. So this does, for now.

[He shuts his eyes for a moment and when he opens them, he blinks.]

...whatever makes this work, this feels weird.

...no, it isn't. When I got my memories back this time. ...Zange apologized to me for what happened to you by giving me back all my memories of you. [He stares into the middle distance, remembering the last thing he saw of either Nanami.

His hands tighten into fists on his thighs. He can't tell her what is ahead.]

We're not helpless being dead like this. You aren't, anyway. You can pass messages on to everyone alive. Zange has the only way right now but, we can find other ways.

You're not the first person who's told me there's something behind the barrier we need to find. But isn't it a little morbid to stay in this place?

[Says One, who lived in a cathedral full of skulls.]

[She'll mess around with it a bit, even if there doesn't seem much to do besides pass messages around this purgatory.

Anything here that might point to what's going on with the network the living have to deal with or explain why it's down? Any fun apps?]

If that room hasn't gone anywhere after all this time, it will still be there by the time we get there.

[She could slow down spitefully and take her sweet time catching up...but she doesn't, and she follows him up to the room.]

It feels different. [Which is a strange thing to say and difficult to qualify. She doesn't exactly have a history of being long-dead to draw on. Her face contorts a little in consternation.]

...You don't have to thank me. I'm just doing what I'd normally do. It's the right thing.

[You guys get all the fun game apps from the app store. But no, there's nothing that points to what's the deal with the network.]

It will be difficult to make them believe us. These notes are suspicious from the other side. We'll have to force their hands a bit.

Maybe. But depending on who it was and how strong they are, the Pokemon could've ended up only getting hurt in the end. [Or worse.] You couldn't have known it was going to end up that way. You only did your best and what you thought was the right thing to do.

[Something gives a little in her chest. A tension that had wound up there that she hadn't been aware of, but the knot is loosened now. Nanami sighs a breath of relief.] I'm... I'm glad you can remember again. Even if some of the memories aren't good ones.

[It would've been really sad if he'd forgotten her completely again...]

Then... We can write letters like Kurosawa-san and Eliza-san did...? Are there other things we can do as well? If I remember right, both of them were investigating things here on "this side"...

[Eliza nods slowly, her eyes still somewhat teary.] Thank you...

Hi everyone! That ball was pretty nice, even with the weird kissing stuff and Gible running around. Also I forgot to tell you guys, but I'll be leaving some piles of rocks at places that are important with relation to the keys, although I haven't been able to find any yet.

Recette - It was fun dancing with you, even if it didn't quite work out the way I wanted. Apparently I can't move stuff once you're touching it too. I hope we get to do that the right way sometime! And you're doing a good job keeping Slinky and Dragon occupied. Keep them close, okay?

Dahlia - It's fine to recall Gible if he gets too rowdy. But his trainer told me that biting is how he shows affection, so I guess that means he likes Zack. His trainer doesn't know how to stop that either. Maybe just let him battle more?

Zack - Crown seems to really like you, even if it's just for the food. You'd better keep taking good care of him, okay? And watch over Recette, too. I know Dragon and Slinky will do their best to protect her, but I'd feel better knowing you're working together.

Szayelaporro - I'm happy to see that you're not pointing your sword at Zack anymore. But if you break his heart, I'll kill you. ;) (That's what you're supposed to say in this case, right?)

Eruna - I didn't really have anything to say at this meeting, because everyone was being very polite! I guess I should thank you for that as well! (If you break Recette's heart, I'll kill you too.) i didn't mean it

[Eliza is looking for the ghost with the baseball cap on his head. She'll check out room 28 first, and if that doesn't reveal anything she'll move on to the restaurant where he was previously. After that she'll probably just wander around town, and maybe try and track down some of the Pokemon here to see if he's following them.]

[He definitely is keeping an eye on his Pokemon. Really intensely that he won't immediately notice Eliza, sorry.]
