The last thing you remember is dying. Whether it's by murder or execution, that's was all it. But surprisingly enough, you wake up in the hotel room that you were assigned in, as if you had never died to begin with. However, once you walk right outside, you'll start noticing that while this is the Town A you remember, there are some slight differences that you notice.

The first thing is the fact that while you can see those who are still alive, they simply cannot see you. In fact, they pass through you, as if you were a ghost. And spoilers: you kind of are one, now. The second thing is that sometimes, if you look at a building for too long or too closely, you'll notice that it fizzles a bit, almost glitchy.

But that's completely fine, isn't it? There is, however, one more thing to keep in mind: there are voices of other people, mumuring. Of course, these other people, unlike you, don't have a complete shape; they're just a silhouette of themselves, looking like static.

However: it wouldn't be Town A without an announcement, would it? Of course not. Hence why upon rearriving, there will be a message, typed out:

Welcome to the afterlife, everyone. This is a greeting message to introduce you to how exactly this works. You have the ability to send one message to the living a week, so choose your words wisely. Of course, there are limitations to what you can say! You cannot reveal the mastermind's true identity, even if you know it. You cannot reveal a culprit or a victim, even if you know it.

Also, all messages will be sent to all players during the trials. If there is no trial, the message shall be sent on Saturday. You may investigate as you wish. If you have any questions to ask of me, please leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Don't be foolish. I have enough blame to go around. I, too, put my faith in the wrong hands this past week. If you really want to take the blame, I can always find more.

It did. As more die, it will expand. [He can't quite keep the upset out of his tone. People dying doesn't sit well with him. It never did.]

Anything you really want to know? I've been here a while. I can at least fill in some blanks.

[Eliza nods determinedly.] I'll add it to my message then!

[Eliza glowers some more. One of her hands clenches momentarily into a fist, before relaxing.] She's blaming herself enough for both of us anyways! She doesn't need more of that!

You were lucky. [Or things went on for a quite a while for her. Either way.]

I don't know what kind of world yours was, but I'll take your word for it that it's comforting. Whatever helps. [This sounds, and probably is, a little sarcastic.]

They probably took some more of your things. Seems there's nothing we can do about those keys.

Thank you. [There is more that needs said about that. But for now this much is enough.] Anything else you want to know?

...do you remember your friends? From home, or your game? [She's worried, herself, about how long it might take for her to forget as well.]

[She trails off again.]

It's hard to say. And not because I'm worried about more sarcasm.

[She snickers at that. She is (or was?) a teenager. She knows how it goes.]

It's just...it's been a long time. You forget things.

[Which she doesn't really want to dwell on.]

And if they can make use of it, that's okay. After all, it's not like I can anymore. It's all a bunch of junk though. I mean who wants a creepy phone that can't remember your birthday?

WEEK 3 - TRIAL

[The trial's started and the one who speaks up today seems to be a rather young boy - it's hard to decipher his age, considering that they're made of static - but people might be able to notice that he's wearing some sort of baseball cap.]

Y'know, they really shouldn't be fighting... [And yet they are.]

Zack...you were trying to avenge me? I'm so touched...

[six people are dead]

[The same young boy hears this sighs, rubbing the back of his head a little bit.]

I don't think that killing someone is the right way to go about that, though.

[Seriously. Six people are dead.]

[telecosmetic]

Well, he didn't actually kill them either way...

But he tried to, didn't he? That still isn't nice.

[Even if it doesn't change anything, in the end. Nanami still died.]

So? [A pause.] I've never had a friend willing to do so much for me. He took care of my Pokemon when I couldn't. And he already said he thought he was attacking someone who'd escaped justice...

[raisingproject]

So you're willing to have someone who was possibly innocent die for you, just because of that?!

[Anger boils as his fingers clench. That's selfish, inherently so, and even more than that, he's surprised at himself that he can recognize it. Maybe it's been too long since he's been here, with the others. He lowers his head, cap covering his expression.]

It's still not right. There has to have been another way. Killing someone, no matter what the reason, isn't right. Even I wouldn't kill to protect my buddy-- [He freezes up a bit, realizing he can't recall the name of his friend.] Anyway. I just. Don't agree. Murder is something that's terrible. It's something that I haven't even seen that gang do.

[She glances at Eruna.] I agree with her, it wasn't a good idea. And of course I didn't want Nanami to die! [She clenches her fists.] Zack was not the killer in this case anyways! Am I not allowed to be touched at how far he'd go for me?

[She died for him too, after all.]

[He's not going to say anything; he doesn't feel like he has the right. The person who has the right to argue on this point isn't him, but the taller ghost that's here in the trial.]

That's not my place to say. I didn't see what happened. But he did. He's her friend.

That doesn't make sense! Fav said the mirror can only save one person!

Actually, [the voice that interjects her this time is of a female, whose hair is tied up in a scrunchie. She's wearing what seems to be a long dress with a sash and her lips seem to be curved up in amusement.] I believe Fav's words were "they can be used to revive someone close to death once."

He never specified how many people it could save. It's possible that it could have saved everyone who was close to death... once. But if they die again, then that's "twice". At least, for that specific person.

Well...Seraphina's testimony still doesn't make sense, then! If it could be used once per person, Tamamo would have no reason to break it! At the very least, she could use it on herself.

That's why I said possible, rather than stating outright that it's fact. I apologize if I wasn't specific.

[If this woman sounds like she's being a little condescending, that's probably because she is.]

In any case, my theory is as such: the mirror was used to bring back Nanami-san. Since Seraphina-san was in the area - or to be more precise, the general vicinity - it's possible [emphasis on that specific word] that whoever used the mirror, most likely Tamamo-san, as she knew how to use it, also brought back Seraphina-san as well.

Which means that Tamamo-san is the most likely culprit in this case. Unless you wish to come up a theory that involves Seraphina-san? Or perhaps Joshua-kun or Zange-san? Or even Zack-kun? [She literally could care less if this girl is friends with Zack or Tamamo. She's just stating what she thinks.]

...he? [She looks around, trying to figure out who the kid is talking about.] Is he allowed to tell us what happened, then?
