The last thing you remember is dying. Whether it's by murder or execution, that's was all it. But surprisingly enough, you wake up in the hotel room that you were assigned in, as if you had never died to begin with. However, once you walk right outside, you'll start noticing that while this is the Town A you remember, there are some slight differences that you notice.

The first thing is the fact that while you can see those who are still alive, they simply cannot see you. In fact, they pass through you, as if you were a ghost. And spoilers: you kind of are one, now. The second thing is that sometimes, if you look at a building for too long or too closely, you'll notice that it fizzles a bit, almost glitchy.

But that's completely fine, isn't it? There is, however, one more thing to keep in mind: there are voices of other people, mumuring. Of course, these other people, unlike you, don't have a complete shape; they're just a silhouette of themselves, looking like static.

However: it wouldn't be Town A without an announcement, would it? Of course not. Hence why upon rearriving, there will be a message, typed out:

Welcome to the afterlife, everyone. This is a greeting message to introduce you to how exactly this works. You have the ability to send one message to the living a week, so choose your words wisely. Of course, there are limitations to what you can say! You cannot reveal the mastermind's true identity, even if you know it. You cannot reveal a culprit or a victim, even if you know it.

Also, all messages will be sent to all players during the trials. If there is no trial, the message shall be sent on Saturday. You may investigate as you wish. If you have any questions to ask of me, please leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

...but that doesn't change the fact I haven't hit you yet! [And she'll bunch up her hand into a fist and punch him in the chest. Perhaps a little more lightly than she would have previously. Either way, she's not going for hitting hard enough to kill.]

[He doesn't really flinch at all, instead just closing his eyes as she punches him. At the very least he allows for this one, but he may not have the reaction she wants.]

Do you do this to all the culprits that end up here?

I did punch Tamamo, too! [A pause] It was...kind of awkward when I first got here, so I didn't punch Beyond. And it would be kind of awkward to find and punch him now. [She's...technically kept her promise not to seek him out.]

Really? But I thought M--you said that you were his master?

Oh, it's one of my super cool powers! I just got it back recently, but... like, I can shoot bright light in the shape of bullets from my fingers? It's great for the club battles we have at our school, since it gives me a way to fight from a distance rather than up close all the time.

[... Did Eruna forget to tell you before you died that she had the ability to do that back home.]

Wow, really? That sounds really cool! Can you do trick shots and make patterns with them?

It's a technical term. Fav's the one who's really in charge and handles everything. I'm more of an overseer.

[Maybe Eruna should just sit down and be quiet so that Zange can explain everything without being interrupted with a round of 20 questions.]

Monday Morning

[It's the start of a brand new day! ..wait, that's not right. Kaine doesn't remember going to sleep, in fact...

Well, we'll skip over all that, thinking about that because then this tag would just be a ton of angry cursing from inside the inn. And kicking things in his room, but not really making an impact on them because of course he's not. He can't even throw a whole tantrum anymore, isn't that great.

So after all that mess, maybe later in the morning, he'll have moved from denial and skipped his way into acceptance, just wandering around over at the park, looking glum, and trying to figure out what his next move should be.]

About the same amount as you do right now. [Hinata says, quietly. He looks sourly at the proceedings. There's a shadow on his face that wasn't there at any of the trials.]

Traitors are picked at random. They don't have a say in it.

[Eliza's at the park! And hanging out in a tree, apparently. She's actually looking pretty pleased with herself at being able to make it up there.

So, got anything to say to one of the girls you killed, Kaine?]

[He's kind of in his own little world until he happens to look up and just...stops.

Oh, that's uh...oh.

Sorry, he doesn't have the slightest clue how to start a conversation right now.]

[She stares. He's...looking at her? She waves slowly.] You...can see me?

It's difficult at first. [A girl steps out while he's still staring. While her features are hard to tell, the long sword on her hip and her tunic isn't.]

But, you might not have to be this way for long. Things are nearing the end. Many of us are busy but I can help answer anything you might ask.

We're all comrades in death.

Monday afternoon, Dojo [calling all ghosts]

[It had been a busy and awful morning. It feels unreal and for the long dead, it's such a break from the pattern. A message is sent through the ghost network.]

Hey, come to the Dojo. I have messages to pass on.
Don't ignore this, it's important. - Hinata Hajime.

[When people arrive they'll find him waiting at the center of the room. To newcomers, he looks like some tall, average kid with an unusual spike of hair and a serious expression. Some of the staticy ghosts have already arrived. The girl with the sword at her side, waits by the entrance. Another girl in a robe pulls the hood up over her face, making her look almost like you could see her features. Almost.

Hinata waits until everyone has arrived and beckons everyone close.]

Thank you for coming. I'll get straight to it. Don't go past where the barrier was. You'll die.

[The hooded girl calls out, 'Excuse me, I believe you might want to be more specific than that. We're all already dead or had you forgotten?' He directs a flat stare her way and briskly continues.] You'll be obliterated for good.

In the same vein, don't use mana if you can help it. Moving around like this is fine. But trying to affect the physical world is taking a toll on the mana in you and what is available to sustain the town. It has less to draw on with the keys being used to open rooms.

Zange can't send any more letters. We'll have to find another way to talk.

Um...so you can possess your objects, right? But does that take more mana than the snack thing? [She mimes picking up and dropping things, just to make it clear what she's talking about.]
