The last thing you remember is dying. Whether it's by murder or execution, that's was all it. But surprisingly enough, you wake up in the hotel room that you were assigned in, as if you had never died to begin with. However, once you walk right outside, you'll start noticing that while this is the Town A you remember, there are some slight differences that you notice.

The first thing is the fact that while you can see those who are still alive, they simply cannot see you. In fact, they pass through you, as if you were a ghost. And spoilers: you kind of are one, now. The second thing is that sometimes, if you look at a building for too long or too closely, you'll notice that it fizzles a bit, almost glitchy.

But that's completely fine, isn't it? There is, however, one more thing to keep in mind: there are voices of other people, mumuring. Of course, these other people, unlike you, don't have a complete shape; they're just a silhouette of themselves, looking like static.

However: it wouldn't be Town A without an announcement, would it? Of course not. Hence why upon rearriving, there will be a message, typed out:

Welcome to the afterlife, everyone. This is a greeting message to introduce you to how exactly this works. You have the ability to send one message to the living a week, so choose your words wisely. Of course, there are limitations to what you can say! You cannot reveal the mastermind's true identity, even if you know it. You cannot reveal a culprit or a victim, even if you know it.

Also, all messages will be sent to all players during the trials. If there is no trial, the message shall be sent on Saturday. You may investigate as you wish. If you have any questions to ask of me, please leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

[ Zange narrows her eyes, sighing almost aggressively as she takes out the objects she's stuffed in her pockets and shows it to her. They're two magical phones. One is a golden color and the other is just an ordinary phone. ]

Do you get it now?

[Eliza stares at the phone.] Y-you got a different phone? Does that allow you to use your powers?

I really have to spell it out for you, don't I... this golden one is the master console. The person who is currently Fav-san's master is me.

[It's a combination of her being kinda dense and her just trusting everyone here.] ...what?

...so, everything you said as the mastermind is what you really think...?

Of course not!

[ Anger spills out of her mouth for a few seconds as she pockets the master console, her voice shaky as she shakes her head and gets ahold of herself, taking deep breaths in, then out, lowering her voice again. ]

No. Never. Everything that I've ever said as the mastermind is a lie. My power as a goddess fuels on people's thoughts and beliefs about me. It doesn't matter if they think badly of me, the more they think about me, the more powerful I get. Anger is one of the most powerful.

[Eliza flinches back from Zange's rage, and she clenches her fists as she whispers.] So Fav was right...do you not have enough power now, then?

You don't have to whisper. I'm the only one who can hear you, anyway.

[ Zange, on the other hand... has to be careful, because it'll look like she's talking to herself. Especially as she's the mastermind almost everyone was trying to kill.

Nevertheless, she continues. ]

And I don't. If I did, I would destroy the master console myself and resurrect everyone that's ever died because of this game. Then myself and Hakua, along with everyone else, could go home.

...Hakua?

So, um, if enough people are mad at you, can you get enough power for that without more killing?

Hakua's... [ A friend? That's not the proper word for it, not really. ]

This body belongs to her. Basically, she's the vessel I've been borrowing, since Hakua has a high level of spiritual power. And I could, potentially. But it's been difficult. I've been stuck in this game for thousands of years.

...oh. [She feels a little bad about all the insults now.] No one has had enough anger to give you power? Are...are those blurry ghosts the other players before us?

A single person's anger alone won't give me enough power, simple as that. And it doesn't have to necessarily be anger. Any sort of strong emotion direct at me in any way works. It's one of the actual reasons I'm an idol. So that I can get more power as a goddess.

[ Essentially. ] And yes, they are. The reason why they're like that is because they were sucked dry by this created down.

But...as more people die, won't you need to get more and more power to bring,everyone back? Do you really need to have people kill each other?

I don't need to have people to kill each other. I never did. I've finally found a way to revive everyone after thousands of years but I need time to prepare it. It doesn't take more power to revive everyone.

Not if the dead are all in the same location.

Then why is Fav telling us we need to kill each other? Aren't you his master?

I'm his master... in name, only. Basically, I'm the vessel that Fav-san is attached to, which also chains him to my world. The rule states that if I do not hold a "game" every now and again, my world will die.

...oh. [Man, poor Eliza's been bouncing back and forth between being mad at Fav and being mad at M.] How did you end up chained together like that...?

I won, one of these games.

So, no one else has managed to do that since you started running these games?

There are some people who win the game, but they just simply go home.

So why are you still bound here? Is it because you're a goddess, so you have more power naturally?

Because they didn't kill me.

Oh, that's how it gets transferred... [She flashes back to Zack's talk about killing the mastermind. Damnit, she has to deter him somehow.] So is your power really the only way to end all this for good?

If... Snow White has a weapon to destroy the console, that can end the game as well. Permanently. But it won't revive you guys.

I see...so we can't let her do that...
