The last thing you remember is dying. Whether it's by murder or execution, that's was all it. But surprisingly enough, you wake up in the hotel room that you were assigned in, as if you had never died to begin with. However, once you walk right outside, you'll start noticing that while this is the Town A you remember, there are some slight differences that you notice.

The first thing is the fact that while you can see those who are still alive, they simply cannot see you. In fact, they pass through you, as if you were a ghost. And spoilers: you kind of are one, now. The second thing is that sometimes, if you look at a building for too long or too closely, you'll notice that it fizzles a bit, almost glitchy.

But that's completely fine, isn't it? There is, however, one more thing to keep in mind: there are voices of other people, mumuring. Of course, these other people, unlike you, don't have a complete shape; they're just a silhouette of themselves, looking like static.

However: it wouldn't be Town A without an announcement, would it? Of course not. Hence why upon rearriving, there will be a message, typed out:

Welcome to the afterlife, everyone. This is a greeting message to introduce you to how exactly this works. You have the ability to send one message to the living a week, so choose your words wisely. Of course, there are limitations to what you can say! You cannot reveal the mastermind's true identity, even if you know it. You cannot reveal a culprit or a victim, even if you know it.

Also, all messages will be sent to all players during the trials. If there is no trial, the message shall be sent on Saturday. You may investigate as you wish. If you have any questions to ask of me, please leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

So, when you said not to reveal this information, do you also mean what you told me when I first got here?

Okay, I've got it. So...can you pretty much tell everything's that going on in the town?

I know everything that's happening, yes. So I know exactly how you died and who did it. But I can't... reveal that.

So...you also have rules about what you can tell us? [Man this will make communication difficult.]

A little bit, yes. I can tell the dead most things, but the living is a different matter entirely.

Um...you said you didn't want Fav to know about this stuff. Does this mean he can't see what we're saying in here?

As his master, anything that I type in the master console is private. Same goes for this room and my actual proper headquarters.

However, that does not go for anywhere else. Myself and Fav can hear everything and anything at any given time, no matter where anybody is. Or even if it's low. Fav can hear it because this is his domain. As for me, I can hear it due to my ability as a goddess of bonds.

Okay. So, um...would it be possible to send information through codes in our messages?

That depends. What kind of code are you talking about?

Um...the easiest one I can think of is the one where the first letters of each word spell out a message. Since you can hide it under a normal message as well.

Not specifically. Was there something you wanted to know?

...Actually, I would like to ask you something more important first:

You are Fav's master. You are the one responsible for bringing us here.

Am I correct?

If you are going to be mad at me, then go ahead. But I did not bring you all here willingly.

Then why did you do it? And who was the strange girl who showed up at the meeting I called?

If you're talking about M, that was 100% me. I tried my best to not let you guys figure it out since I was physically there at the meeting and M showed up at the same time.

As for the reason why I did it, there are some things I cannot say, but the short version is that my world would have been destroyed by Fav-san if I hadn't.

Before I ask you about your world, I'd like to know if you really meant it when you said you've run these sorts of games before.

As much as you disgust me, Zange-san, you are perhaps the only link to the living that we have. I am willing to cooperate for the duration of our stay here.
