The last thing you remember is dying. Whether it's by murder or execution, that's was all it. But surprisingly enough, you wake up in the hotel room that you were assigned in, as if you had never died to begin with. However, once you walk right outside, you'll start noticing that while this is the Town A you remember, there are some slight differences that you notice.

The first thing is the fact that while you can see those who are still alive, they simply cannot see you. In fact, they pass through you, as if you were a ghost. And spoilers: you kind of are one, now. The second thing is that sometimes, if you look at a building for too long or too closely, you'll notice that it fizzles a bit, almost glitchy.

But that's completely fine, isn't it? There is, however, one more thing to keep in mind: there are voices of other people, mumuring. Of course, these other people, unlike you, don't have a complete shape; they're just a silhouette of themselves, looking like static.

However: it wouldn't be Town A without an announcement, would it? Of course not. Hence why upon rearriving, there will be a message, typed out:

Welcome to the afterlife, everyone. This is a greeting message to introduce you to how exactly this works. You have the ability to send one message to the living a week, so choose your words wisely. Of course, there are limitations to what you can say! You cannot reveal the mastermind's true identity, even if you know it. You cannot reveal a culprit or a victim, even if you know it.

Also, all messages will be sent to all players during the trials. If there is no trial, the message shall be sent on Saturday. You may investigate as you wish. If you have any questions to ask of me, please leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

All these things that have never obeyed the rules of the game...Neither you nor I should abide by that. Let's try to use it against them.

Of course he does. He likes things that are entertaining. But I cannot break the rules. My soul is chained to them. If I break one, it's all over for me.

As much as I feel death would be a fitting comeuppance for you, I don't think you should simply go out and break the rules that hold you here.

I think there must be a way to use the Magical Girl Hunter's exception in the environment against them. It isn't mana that propels them, and so...Their outsider status may make it easier to end the spree.

I'm already dead. This body is a borrowed shell.

[She'd rather not die if she can help it.]

And if I die, my role is passed on to someone else in the game that's still alive. It's possible. We know the environment more... but it's difficult to stop someone who can read your thoughts. See your every move. It's possible they might not be able to kill me because I hold two minds instead of one. I might get a bit cocky, however, so the likelihood of me dying can go up because of that. And the baton will be passed, even if I still 'exist'. Since my spirit is different from all of yours.

Of course it is. [That could be a response to literally anything Zange's said, and might actually be.]

If my assumption that the hunter is a "magical girl" themselves is correct, then logically mind-reading would be their one power.

Would you sacrifice one mind if the other would remain?

No. This body will die with Hakua's mind.
I am just an intruder, someone who helps and protects her.

If this body dies, both of us will become spirits. However, my soul can possess others due to my nature. I will use what's left of it to possess a doll.

You avoided something in this conversation, but I'll be generous and assume that's due to the rules.

Well, she was the one who offered her body to me. Besides, if she didn't allow me to interfere, she would have been dead a long time ago.

I don't have any more questions. I did want to see that were still of sound mind, and that seems to be the case. Of course, we may be your only trump card if things continue to devolve.
