☆ WELCOME TO HELL, YE POOR SOULS.

Magical Girl Raising Project
Graveyard

The last thing you remember is dying. Whether it's by murder or execution, that's was all it. But surprisingly enough, you wake up in the hotel room that you were assigned in, as if you had never died to begin with. However, once you walk right outside, you'll start noticing that while this is the Town A you remember, there are some slight differences that you notice.

The first thing is the fact that while you can see those who are still alive, they simply cannot see you. In fact, they pass through you, as if you were a ghost. And spoilers: you kind of are one, now. The second thing is that sometimes, if you look at a building for too long or too closely, you'll notice that it fizzles a bit, almost glitchy.

But that's completely fine, isn't it? There is, however, one more thing to keep in mind: there are voices of other people, mumuring. Of course, these other people, unlike you, don't have a complete shape; they're just a silhouette of themselves, looking like static.

However: it wouldn't be Town A without an announcement, would it? Of course not. Hence why upon rearriving, there will be a message, typed out:
Welcome to the afterlife, everyone. This is a greeting message to introduce you to how exactly this works. You have the ability to send one message to the living a week, so choose your words wisely. Of course, there are limitations to what you can say! You cannot reveal the mastermind's true identity, even if you know it. You cannot reveal a culprit or a victim, even if you know it.

Also, all messages will be sent to all players during the trials. If there is no trial, the message shall be sent on Saturday. You may investigate as you wish. If you have any questions to ask of me, please leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

It isn't a bad idea, though we should consider delegating tasks so none of our goals are neglected.

Two things you must keep in mind:

1) They are trying to solve more than one case.
2) At the time of my conviction, they had wandered quite far from the path that would have told them the truth.

Yeah...Kaine was the only one who didn't transform, right? Is there some clue we could leave that relates to that?

I don't blame him. His outfit was fucking rediculous.

It's one thing to turn a guy into a girl, but another to just put a grown man in a dress.

It wasn't even a good color for him...it had a crab design, right? Maybe we could find some books about crabs and drop them where someone can hear...

A magical phone? That wand they found in... [Pause. She doesn't know if that ghost has a name.] the radio room.

Will they even remember, though? He never transformed, even under normal circumstances.

...if we want it to be something they'll remember...his arms and legs got cut off, right? Do you know any stories where stuff like that happens?

Regarding Snow's case, it ought to be a simple matter of dropping a book about snow on the ground while one of them is in the library. By now they've worked out we reman here after death, and they will, if sensible, realize it's a hint. "Precipitation" ought to be vague enough that it doesn't bend the rules.

For the re-trial, they'll probably hold some kind of meeting to discuss it. Listening in to find out what their exact missteps are ought to be informative for us to proceed with steering them in the right direction.

Yeah, but what if we can't interact with the world for that trial either!?

I'm assuming they'll hold a meeting to discuss the matter before the trial. We can intervene as necessary during that meeting, can we not?

...I guess. We can signal if they're getting off-track, and hopefully they'll get it.

[Get ready for the snidest comment ever.] Better hope it falls in front of Miach, then. Given her predilections, that should be easy enough.

Sound idea, and with more guarantees than some of our methods. There are enough of us here that everything is better done in at least sets of two. Solitude will be our enemy is these final days.

Rather than hope, let's plan for exactly that.

[Considering the options they have, it doesn't take a genius to work out that Miach is clearly their best shot here. Sory Recette and Sera.... uh.]

Yes. But in case it proves to be too difficult to attempt redirecting, we ought to think of other was to signal that it's Kaine. However, if they're being serious about the case, they'd have to come to agreement that realistically only Kaine or Szayelaporro could have wielded the naginata to that degree of skill. If so, then a clue such as "pink roses blossom once" might do it. Snow, of course, being the one. Perhaps that one's too vague.

[How smart do you think they are, Dahlia?]

You're on a precipice there, I think. A clue or a puzzle--which would you rather leave? Our circumstances pin our options somewhere between the two.

Besides, Szayelaporro and Snow White are quite similar in their appearances. We might have another case of mistaken identity on our hands. Your proposal is efficient, but let's implicate one murderer at a time.

The rules don't permit more straightforward messages, but consider your point well received,
Miss One.

I wonder. Miss Miach and I had talked previously about ou thoughts on the second case and we came to a certain conclusion. Telling her we were wrong about that conclusion shouldn't be in direct violation of the rules since it neither reveals the culprit nor the mastermind, right?

[personal profile] selfloving 2017-05-06 04:36 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, the strategy lies it determining the line between straightforward and obfuscating.

Oh? After that circus, I wonder what you thought. To draw on that conversation, surely, might be more elucidating for Miach at least.
